Ok I have loads of posts hanging, but this one is funny enough not to wait;
Behold the RED RING OF DEATH CARVED PUMPKIN, the nemesis of all Xbox gamers, which have been scaring the shit out of them for years now (and it seems like it's not over yet).
This is funny but I admit it wasn't a year ago, when my second hand Xbox died after two months and I had no guarantee...
This is why, like many things (people ?) I'd love the console only if I didn't hate it so much ;)

Guide to understand girls...

...SMS's ! Definitely not a guide to understand them in general, as if it was possible ! This might reveal usefull anyway, especially if your girlfriend is 19 and sends you 50 messages a day... Indeed, depending on your age, sms might be most of your intime conversations !

Some of my clients are in the porn by sms industry, I'm wondering it that applies here... What if the girl (chat operator from the philippines) says "baby I'm so horny, I wish you were here...", does that mean she likes me ?

French version of the iBook is perfectly retarded

This is from Clubic.
Looks like Apple's french translation for a "Beautifully engineered, inside and out." iBook, is a "Perfectly retarded" iBook, in french "Parfaitement con" which is a pretty rude word for stupid, and, as Clubic says, might be "parfaitement conçu" trimed because of the french character. It is even more funny when you consider the next title on the page is "Intelligence Pure".

Now we all know french are despitefull people but then again, this is a bit harsh and been corrected now. Few.

Public lights, recycled energy powered

This looks pretty awesome to me. The lamp has been designed Sung Woo Park and Sunhee Kim, that sounds Korean, lemme check... Ah, can't find, but looks like the guys from Yanko Design are from at least Vietnam, Japan and USA...

Anyway, this concept of lights would use dead batteries, the ones you can't use in your regular electronic devices because they are too greedy on energy and instead throw them with the rubbish, even though you're not supposed to and that makes you feel guilty sometimes but in the end you don't care any more because you are fed up being told what you should and should not do all the time, as if you were a grown up child scold by advertising ten times a day because you're dirty, eat/drink/smoke/have sex too much and don't respect nature......

What was I saying again ? Ah yeah. Those lights would use everyone "dead" batteries, with different slots for different kinds, probably light parks I guess because they use low energy consumption light bulbs and you probably don't want that to light commercial center or road... But that's a pretty good idea, you waste less energy for the city lights, and people can just come and leave their used batteries there... Then again the problem is it still relies too much on people's will to bring dead batteries to the park and not put whatever cigarettes chewingum instead because you're a retard and find that Funny.

Comme promis ! (facebook catch up)

Ok so now it's english, because :

So here we go for a quick post, too much to sum up and no particular motivation to make it last a hundred lines... This is the geeky stuff you missed this last two months, as I started playing with facebook publisher.

• MMO stuff, with the great and funny review of a few of them by totally non MMO players
• Properly amazing Wow Nerdboy and nice Jinx Wow bean bags game.
• Stunning LittleBigWorld calculator level
• Funny japanese pez toy.
• A new man to add to your hatelist.
• Geek soft porn along with nice girl gaming teams for the world championship (in french, but you can still check out the pictures...)
• Excellent EA ad (read the buzz, it's a really good one)
• The SEGA lost but found again dream of a room.
• A very funny article (and comments) about video games and sexy performances.
  
• And finally always hilarious Zero Punctuation, opened by a quick talk on game design.

Before I published all this I didn't expect it to be ENTIRELY related to the gaming world, but I'm not ashamed ;) I'll try not to rip off Kotaku too much, as it's my main source of fun during the day, with Gizmondo, Journal du Geek and a few others. Then I will try to publish more often, with some more comments, maybe images if I find a quick way to do it from work !

Resolutions

Numero 1, arreter de parler de moi.

Du coup j'ai pas besoin de continuer la liste.

Je pense que je vais essayer pendant quelques temps d'utiliser ce blog pour publier mes liens geeks.

Belle journee

C'est etonnant, cette journee s'est finalement revele etre une bonne journee, et je m'y attendait pas vraiment.

Le debut de la matinee n'etait pas bon; reveille a 8h parce que Gilly part faire Great Ocean Road sans moi (surement du au fait qu'on s'est presque pas parle de puis une semaine...), autres details qui me ruinerait mon humeur si je m'attardais dessus.
Je rentre donc chez moi vers 10h, pour 2h de transports, avec le bus qui remplace les trains hors service, la chaleur de ce second moi de printemps qui ressemble a Juin en France, pensant rater le second BBQ du week-end... Joyeux.

Neanmoins, sur la route, me demandant comment j'ai bien pu en arriver la, je finit par me decider (une fois de plus me direz-vous) a prendre des bonnes resolutions pour changer. Des resolutions qui sonneront un peu bizarre, quand j'aurais le temps de les ecrire ici, des resolutions type celles qu'un psy vous demanderais de prendre.

Apres presque une aprem complete chez moi a programmer for fun, je retourne en ville pour un rassemblement eclaire, 40 personnes dans un combat de polochons en plein milieu de Melbourne, pendant 2mn, puis hop, dispersion. Fun. Flash mob, ca s'appelle, youtubez-le. On en organisera d'autres.

Et apres ca, un BBQ d'anniversaire super, tout simplement la meilleure soiree que j'ai faite ici, et pour aucune raison particuliere. Mon humeur a du aider, mais aussi le BBQ reussit, les gens sympa, la maison toute decoree a la main de dessins sur tous les murs jusque dans le jardin, les deux japonais qui s'echangent deux phrases que je comprends !!! et les quelques conversations sur le theme de mon futur voyage la-bas, d'autres conversations en Francais avec des mexicains, japonais, allemands, moricien, d'autres avec un chinois ne a Dublin qui pensait que j'etais Irlandais (ca me fait toujours plaisir quand on me dis quelque chose comme ca, ca me donne l'impression que j'ai garde quelque chose de mon annee en Irlande avec moi), une heure de jeu de mime avec Aaron et Shell qui se dechaine, et quelques jolies filles, les lumieres de noel qui tamisent le jardin, les guitaristes pro et l'indien qui danse comme un derviche dans le fond... Plein de rires et au final une soiree que je suis certainement le seul a avoir trouve differente du reste, probablement a juste titre.

Probablement aussi parce que j'ai eu une super soiree grace a mes bonnes resolutions, et non l'ambiance foireuse de mon couple, alors meme que je me pensais infoutu d'avoir le moindre plaisir celibataire.

Affaire a suivre, les resolutions suivront.
